Donovan McCain was born in Mississippi in 1987. He was playing music professionally by age 12 and has appeared on stage with Marty Stuart, the Del McCoury Band, Bobby Whitlock, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Murrough O’Kane just to drop a few names. He is one of the leading mandolin players and song writers in the South. Donovan is a ranked Iaido practitioner and has studied medieval swordsmanship in depth for several years. Barry Reid McCain, known as Barra to his friends, was born in Hinds County, Mississippi, in 1951. He took a cum laude degree in history from Ole Miss and did graduate work in the 18th Century Celtic migration to the South. He is an accomplished folk musician who has played in the USA, Ireland and the UK. He is also known for his tireless pursuit of Ulster McKane lore. He is a recognised independent scholar, a published writer, gardener, Gaelic speaker, musician and father of Donovan McCain and Conar McCain. Barry McCain works with several Ulster related projects including UlsterHeritage.com, Ulster Heritage DNA Project and Coláiste na Rosann.

Joe McKane (1944- ) and Gayle McKane , founded McKane's Historic Toys and Games almost 20 years ago. Since then they have produced products for The Smithsonian , Henry Ford Museum and Historic monuments throughout America. Joe was born near Bushmills, County Antrim, Ireland. He is the son of James McKane of Ballywatt.

James Ainslie McKane (1940- ), kit 14470- Jim(centre rear, with his father, son, and grandson - all named James!!). Jim farmed with his father near Brampton, Ontario until 1965. He moved to Kitchener in 1967 where he worked in the credit industry until 1983. He, then, became a life insurance representative. Later, he gained his mutual funds and stock broker licenses. He retired from financial services in April 2004. He enjoys his hobbies of genealogy, website creation, woodworking, hunting and fishing.

Billy W. McCain (1939 - ) retired from General Motors where he had worked of 42 years. He was a Materials Engineer. The position gave him opportunity to travel into Canada, Mexico, Spain and the United States, visiting material suppliers to GM. Mr. McCain graduated from Oakland University with a BA in Chemistry.
